Nominate a Hero. Win roundtrip airfare for two!

It isn’t everyday that we encounter a hero in the true sense of the word. But, when we do, we want to give credit where credit is due, right? Now, by paying homage to a hero, you could win, and win big.

Starting today, when you tell us about your hero away from home, you have a chance to win airfare for two, on us! It’s called our “World’s Unluckiest Traveler 2 the Rescue” contest, and it hinges off the original World’s Unluckiest Traveler contest which wrapped up earlier this year, and awarded Dr. Gary Feldman a dream vacation for experiencing the unluckiest trip of all time.

Was your mischievous child rescued from a dangerous situation while traveling? Did a bellman go out of his way to make your day? It’s when we experience an unexpected good deed that a “travel nightmare” can turn into a dream come true.

Tell us about your hero. From May 30 – September 5, 2011 we accepting entries about good-deed-doers in action! Whether you were the recipient of the good deed, or you just saw the good-deed-doer saving the day, we want to hear from you!

How does it work?

Submit.
Send us your favorite stories of everyday heroes away from home.

Vote.
A panel of judges will narrow the field to the ten best stories to compete for America’s votes. Share your favorite story with the world using the social sites Facebook and Twitter. During the voting period later this year, the more votes your story gets, the better your chance to win!

Win.
If you submit the winning story, you win airfare for 2 on us! The winning “hero” as voted by America, wins a $10,000 Hero’s Vacation.
